The design was for a competition that was based on sustainable architecture. The approach was to utilize local industries for products such as steel and concrete and to create jobs for the non-working tradesman. The project was based in Detroit and the program scope involved training centers, living units, retail, greenspace for food, and a soup kitchen for the homeless. The building was to grow with fabricated modules that would be installed when needed.
